New battery installed. Boots fine, USB drive doesn't seem to be causing it to cut out anymore. Are the batteries a common issue on this model?

I don’t actually have another battery. Is there any way to verify the battery? I could connect my scope up to it while it’s connnected? I will do th PRam in the morning and report back.

Thanks. Yes it is. The board recognised the usb stick and I was able to read the data on the stick for about 20 seconds before it froze. I had read that, I’m looking for a new laptop but I’d like to try and keep this one alive for as longas possible. Backing my data up just now.
