It never works ok, it only has 2 different states of failure, power and off soon after or power on and run gpu fan at full speed.
At both states it never chimes.
I know it doesn't really worth spending time at it but for a bios I'd try it.
Hello,
I have a mac pro that its working backplane was sold from my customer and he has installed a non working one and brought it for repair, so far I know that everything else was working.
My only chance for fix is to test another bios [I have fixed one before].
So far I have made a dump of...
For your Information I reballed the VRAMs and that solved my problem, now systems boots OS and runs benchmark properly.
That is being done with 216-0810005 that works as a perfect replacement of the 216-0810084 [6750HD instead of 6770HD].
The 216-0810084 & 216-0810001 are impossible to be found...
So I had this with gpu issue after some time at OS.
Also VST was failing.
I did noticed that it was going too slow at gpu benchmark before it crashed.
I replaced 216-0810084 with 216-0810005 and after that I wasn't able to boot at OS.
I placed a second good one 216-0810005 [I know that from this...
RTC area looks fine, at U2800 I get voltage at pins 2,5 & 13 normal, sadly no history for this board.
System doesn't PRAM reset - this is also usual in some cases with GPU issue.
PC3-10600 RAM was used from a same working macbook.
Does it worth it to spend time? Maybe by replacing GPU and VRAMs...
So I have another one of them with 216-0810084 GPU that has a spinning fan but no chime and no signal/ backlight.
I started by heating a bit the GPU but there was no difference.
I have cpu vcore and gpu vcore.
My only notice is that similar boards when they start they spin the fan for a couple...
The issue is that I don't have a same MacBook to make that test, but as I mentioned the issue happened after liquid spill and the path of liquid was from edje of battery through charging cirquit and near smc [without touching it] at the top side of the board only and LCD connector is at the...
Yes but as I mentioned if I pass a magnet from the lid switch I have backlight after that and the voltage drops to 38V.
If I had and issue with the connector or the cable [both look fine] shouldn't I have permanent problem?
The MacBook had spilled liquid and the issue is that after some cleaning and replacing C5125 now chimes and display image but no backlight until I close and open again the display.
After that it has backlight but if I close again the display the backlight doesn't go off.
I couldn't find any...
