I figured out what was wrong. It had a short on 3V3_S4 caused by C2950. I replaced it and it is working fine now. Thanks for your help.

Yes it stays stable at 12.4 volts and goes green then orange.

Hi, I have a 820-3536 that hasn't had any water damage and shows a green light on the charger but does not power on. PPBUS_G3H, PP3V42_G3H, PPVRTC_G3H are all present and correct. Testing PP5V_S5 and PP3V3_S5 I noticed their voltages were pulsating. I replaced U7100 but it made no difference...

I have checked all these and there is no evidence of water damage or corrosion. PPVRTC is 3.3 volts. I am obviously missing something but I can't figure it out.

Yeah I get a green light then it goes orange. Most of the water damage was around the connector for the keyboard backlight and the Mic connector. Everywhere else looking under a microscope doesn't seem too bad. I get 3.3 Volts at SMC_LID and in diode mode it measures 0.438.

I looked at it again and it was burnt near C9799. The actual capacitor was fine when I took it off but just next to it was burnt a little and was shorting to ground with the solder pad of the capacitor. I scratched a bit of the pad away and the short has now gone. Annoyingly that was the first...
