Dell XPS 15 9570 - LA-G341P - Power cycling after liquid damage and blown ISL88738

Hi Guys, I am sorry if non-apple posts are not allowed. I am dealing with this LA-G341P, which had heavy liquid damage around the Audio board, Battery charging circuit. I went and cleaned liquid areas and left the audio board disconnected. It had blown PQ1900/02/3 as well as a trace on...

820-3332 - occasional loud fans and laggy system

It seems like the Camera is playing up. Disconnected and monitoring the situation. Probably nothing can be done without taking up the glass and replacing the camera, right? Thank you again

820-02020 - Reboots when under load - Corrosion around PMIC

The only severe liquid impact is on the PMIC. Is there anything else I can check? The system diagnostic says all is good. I was thinking perhaps a corroded pad on PMIC is losing contact when more power is drawn. Now it does it even when casually browsing the web.

820-02020 - Reboots when under load - Corrosion around PMIC

The whole system runs fine until I start a video on 4k. It plays for a second and freezes with colourful patches and reboots. PMIC voltages on surrounding coils vary from 0.6 - 0.8V. Three big coils on the opposite are all on 3.3V No short on any components surrounding UP800

820-02020 - Reboots when under load - Corrosion around PMIC

Got this with spatters of water all over the place, but the main corrosion is around PMIC. Cleaned and reflowed, but suspecting bad contacts underneath. Before I lift it up (haven't done it on such big chips) and reball it. Any recommendations or suggestions? Done this method on CD3215 and is a...

Tested battery, which works on other mac - Still loud fans Got gswitch software to switch between GPUs and left for a while - still fans loud Looking at the sensor heat pipe incoming/outgoing air ones are off. Any idea where these sensors could be on the board (Q5502 / U5570 seems to be a...

820-3332 - occasional loud fans and laggy system

This Macbook has a previous repair around U9200/10, U8310/50 and U8900 ICs, and a battery replacement. AHT is not initiating stating a missing .efi, TectoolPro 11 haven't detected any anomalies. Replaced the trackpad and trackpad cable. It worked fine for a week and suddenly start running the...

A1708 820-00840 Intermittently Not Detecting SSD - Question Mark - Previous Liquid Damage

When I reboot usually comes online and works as expected. I can load from it, and it runs perfectly with no SSD errors. Haven't seen it come with a question mark again after I shut down and rebooted from the previous question mark. It loads up straight away until the next time when it crashes...

A1708 820-00840 Intermittently Not Detecting SSD - Question Mark - Previous Liquid Damage

It turns on and works fine for a while, but often when it starts or awakes from a long-term not usage turns on with a question mark. Same when used for an extended period of time. Previous liquid damage around U3890/5 doesn't seem to be related to SSD lines. Also, some around R3773 and U3700...

    A1708 820-00875 5V 0.02A after replaced blown CD3215

I don't have this exact board for donors, but the two 00840 I have show as 1M. Perhaps the only option now is to source the B03 version. 00840 and 01041 donors I have are using the C version. It is a long shot but I do have two TPS65982DA

    A1708 820-00875 5V 0.02A after replaced blown CD3215

No more short on UPC_XA_UART_TX after I replaced it with the expected 1M. I was just reading about some CD3215C compatibility issues with CD3215B and how TBT ROM could be reprogrammed. I do not have B ones in stock. Could this be something causing it?
