I've got a couple of these 820-2915 that have the same issue, missing LCD_PWR_EN at U9000.
what I've checked
R9094 10k pin1 0v
R9678 4.7k pin 1 .012v pin 2 2.6v
no short to ground.
looks like I'm just not getting voltage for LCD_PWR_EN coming form U9600. Any ideas?
I've taken LOTS of these boards in. just make sure the water indicators are white, and that there isn't any noticeable corrosion/damage or sticky keys and you should be alright.
Note: If you take too many of them in they will start to have a freak out lmao.
R5280 and r5281 should be 2kohms, R7051 should be 2.2kohms and r7052 should be 0kohms and r7050 should be .005ohms. i would check the resistance of the circuit at pin 17-18 of u7000 first.
so I'm measuring ppvcore_s0_cpu_reg at pin 2 at L7400. could it be that the q7401 is not working properly which is creating more voltage than its supposed to? or am i way off?
CPU vcore is at 1.16v, not sure if it chimes being its out of the case right now. will see if it chimes in case and do pram reset.
cpu vcore seems a little low but close.
i've got this 820-2879 that was missing the lcd_ig_pwr__en coming from the u9000. i checked r9014 and it is good with 1kohm resistance with still no voltage going threw. Im guessing there is a problem with u1400 either not powering on or just not good anymore.
the other thing is when i plug in...
i changed the q7000 that fixed the issue now i got short to ground on chgr_acok, removed isl6258 found short on char_acok pad , checked smh_bc_acok found short is in the smc. This thing is too old to replace the smc so its going in the donor pile.
i've got this 820-2327, i know its an old one. it doesnt show a green light on the charger after water damage. i started taking messurements around the isl6258 chip and found a strange reading on chgr_agate- 16v on pin one of r7001 .04v on pin 2. check resistance of r7001 to find it has 62kohms...
