Paid almost 70 each for the 1617 version, I mainly use for a1297 repairs only when I can charge customers higher.
0809000 can sub most of the repairs for a1286,(of...
I had been using arctic silver 5 all the time and lately just found that a lot of people complained about it and said not good for the Macbook pro heatsink design.
so just wondering what's the best kind you guys are using.
thanks
clock chip would cause the CPU vcore problem too?I thought the board powers on already and that would mean it's fine.
I heated the PCH with flux...no luck , probably will try replacing the PCH and take it off and see how under it looks like
And I actually replaced a new SMC already, since that's the spilled area and I doubted bad SMC or crap under it. but still the same thing after replacement
Hi guys,
having a 820-3115 board, powers on, green light and all power rails are there except CPU VCORE.
the board got liquid spilled around the SMC area and U3890. U7400 area looks totally fine.
so checked :
CPU_PWRGD =1V ALL_SYS_PWRGD = 3 V
u7400: pin 46,29,19=5v TONA, TONB= around 1v...
yea tried that before, this PCH is not that hard to replace...then flash the bios with clean ME then you have a 400 board for sale...which is in good demand in the market now
SMC_LID is high 3. something so it's good.
one of the customers agreed to replace the whole board by paying extra. replaced one board today and all good,so it's not the display. and having the other one left now ( had two came in and same issues)
I will try my best if found any cure will report...
external shows nothing. I also notice something, when back light is not present, what's missing to boost the circuit is the BKLT_EN_R
which comes from U8330.
then what's missing for u8330 to output BKLT_EN_R is EDP_BKLT_EN (0v? close to) ,which comes from the CPU.....
not sure if Im thinking...
yea already tried PRAM reset.
history of board, customer sent in entire machine, said just happen one day , no liquid spilled, it's a bit dusty as we see here, but can't find liquid spilled
I have two A1502 came in today, identical machines with 820-3476 boards.
problems are the same, machine can power on, chime , back light will be on (after it chimes and wait like 20 seconds later). sometimes no back light but still chime.
if it has back light, then that's it, no flashing...
the 2915 is possible, I had seen someone did it ,but just forget dude, it's so complicated. you must modify the signals lines from the mux to the connector and so on.
I saw the pictures that the guy uploaded, it was a huge mass already. you don't want spend hours for that
Im using 1144, but for 1g boards, I had been doing this all the time like 2-3 months ago already.for all 1g vram boards with 6750, I replaced with 6770 and modify the resistors. all worked and system recognized the new GPU and run without any issues.
but the thing is that, the distorted video...
having a 2011 a1286 with video issue.
there is very common video problem of this model ,usually we replace the GPU then it's done.
but this time is not that kind of typical ones that we deal with every day.
not the white screen can't boot into OS, shut down ,restarts. or the step by step...
