Screw holes look fine. Also there are only original screws (the 6 bigger and the two flat ones) screwed onto the heatsink. Can my soldering be bad if VCORE is 0.9V?
I let it sit running for a while now to test it and as i came back to it it wont show a picture anymore. Not it spins the fans like crazy but did not show any picture anymore. Even if i unplug the battery and wait it wont show anything on the screen. It also wont chime and PRAM reset is also not...
This 820-3332-A works fine until it randomly freezes. If it freezes it still shows a picture but i cant type anything nor move the mouse. Same if i boot from an external drive. Power Button can still turn it off. I already resoldered the joints on U8900 but no change. Can a reflow or new IC help...
It also says that there may be an error with the fan - but fan works normally as far as i can tell. The problem is that it never finishes loading. If its off and i press the power button it needs around 30 sec. to chime. Then the apple loads normally up to ~50% and from there on it loads really...
New battery arrived today but no change. I also still get the Battery warning if i run diagnostic. The battery i ordered was 100€ and from a vendor i know and trust so i think ist pretty unlikely that the new battery is also bad.
ok, thank you. I had no idea as this is not the case with the older boards... I ordered a battery for this one as i have no one here because they are still pretty expensive...
Bios chip looks like new. Diagnostic gives me 2 warnings. The battery should be serviced and there may be a problem with the fan - even if the fan is working fine...
This 820-4929 turns on. It starts and boots normally but after the bar under the apple logo has reached ~50% it gets really slow. If i wait a few minutes the bar completes but it stays at the apple screen forever. The customer provided a picture of an error message. This includes the message...
I have no explanation for this! No idea why PM_SLP_S4_L was missing. (this signal is really confusing to me) But i followed the lower resistance values (even if the diode mode readings were the same - i also dont really understand how that could be) and there are only three places where PP5V_S4...

No problem. Thank you for the outstanding help. Even if it it may be dead i could learn the troubleshooting process.
In the mean time i got another 820-3476 in (i could fix this one and it still works fine). So i took all resistance measurements again from this working board, added...
I put the original Bios IC back on and read the china Bios with my progeammr and a new small PCB where i can solder these Bios ICs on. It is not empty and can be read without any errors.
sorry wrong window...
I have not so much to do at the moment so i will give it a try i think. Is there anything i can check or should i try to replace the PCH again? I was hoping that the CPU would be alive as it beeps and the CPU is getting a bit warm - the new PCH is getting warmer than the...
Finally i can come back to this. The new PCH arrived and i soldered it on to the board. I couldnt belive it but now it turns on. Unfortunately now it beeps 3 times. i tryed a lot of different Ram sticks in both slots but no change. I checked L7330 and it has 1.5 V on it. Now i am stuck again...
I measured the resistance of all rails and added the values to the table. The new values are blue. I added a picture. I will try a new Bios chip today too and let you know if that changes something...
That was at 50 mV/div and 5 us/div. All_SYS_PWR_GD shows a different behaviour. If i connect the adapter it just has a single pulse to ~3 V but it is so fast that i cant capture it. After that its back to 0 V.
