It was the fuse, I jumped the gun with that question, I just assumed if the fuse was bad I would have 0 volts at J9000 instead of .018v. Thanks for the help

820 2533 no backlight I get .018v on backlight pins, I thought for sure the meant the one was going to be shorted, but when I take a diode measurement I get .570v. Shouldn't I be getting more voltage than that even if the driver isn't creating a boost signal?

Okay Duke, I have another 820 4924 with no power, put to much to into the last one, ended up no fix. This one was liquid damaged. Shop the brought it in was nice enough to clean it before the brought it over. Their tech did indicate corrosion around SMC. Magsafe lights, 12.59ppbus g3h, s5 rails...

I contacted the owner this morning, he said nothing happened more than the machine died in use. I've looked this board up and down, and I can confidently say that no one has messed around with this board before.

CPU VCORE is shorted, is it safe to inject voltage into this line to find the short, or am I going to kill the CPU?

820 2610, came in dead, replaced c7771, machine now powers, but will not power on off battery alone. The machine will stay powered on running off the battery, just can't get it to boot with out magsafe in. Power button works to shut down at all times.

I don't know why turbo said anything an 16v, I have 8.18v of g3h...

820 3023 dose not recognize battery, or run off of battery, board in not liquid damaged. R5280 and R5281are both good, nether line is shorted.

Unfortunately I do not have a scope, with my fluke, it says 0v, but like you said maybe hard to catch. Pin 8 on u1950 looks great. Yes, I checked all rails for shorts.
