    820-3662 possible fix? Simple script

I saw you replace these in a video and you were using 6808. No idea where you got them, but you can assume with 95% certainty that they were pulled crap from China. They sand them up real nice and they look almost new until you compare it to a real new one under the microscope. Getting the 6708...

    820-3662 possible fix? Simple script

No offense meant, it is a working solution for the people that cannot or do not want to fix their machine or spend money. I mean don't do this if you have the means to do the proper repair. Do not sell this "hack" as a real fix to a customer unless they are aware of their options and choose to...

    820-3662 possible fix? Simple script

Don't do this. The problem is the DrMOS FET on phase 1 of the CPU power supply. If the CPU has no load only phase 1 out of 3 will be active and the failing FET will make it shut down. Having the CPU not enter idle anymore will just mask this problem until the FET deteriorates more or the FETs on...

820-3332-a - Video problems when on dedicated GPU (high power mode)

ok, if this happens with an external LCD connected then it is indeed the Nvidia GPU. First inspect for damaged components around GPU/VRAM. If that seems good then replace VRAM. If that does not help replace GPU. I usually replace the GPU and VRAM all together just to make sure it will work. But...

820-3332-a - Video problems when on dedicated GPU (high power mode)

GPU would need a decent rework machine yes. VRAM are not something that normally goes bad so getting them off Ebay/Ali from China should be ok. I would try the VRAM first as these GPUs don't tend to go bad. You did make sure the problem only exists when using the NVIDIA GPU? Problem should not...

820-3332-a - Video problems when on dedicated GPU (high power mode)

VRAM, GPU or trace issue inside the board. Inspect GPU VRAM area for knocked off components too. This has nothing to do with any of the MUXes. Don't reball/reflow VRAM or GPU, just replace them.

SSD RECALL 2016 13" Macbook pro any fixes?

GPUs never have solder issues. The problem is inside the chip between the silicon die and the green substrate. Anyone claiming otherwise does not know what they are talking about. In case of the SSDs you are probably fucked. I have a stack of 2015 A1534 here with SSD issue that I have not...

Just before I go mess with this, you did make sure the clock was set correctly and have an active internet connection? Also make sure it has original Apple SSD in it as it will only update from internal SSD.

2016/17 MBP w/tb Kernel panic after palmrest replacement

Could be anything. Most likely is corrosion on the board somewhere. Second likely would be of course shitty Chinese topcase picked from the trash. Disconnect touchbar LCD and touch connectors to rule out at least the touch bar. Also board could have been damaged, knocked off component, damaged...
