    820-00850 Liquid damaged u7000 area. 5V 0amp USB

the other thing I find strange is that the amp meter will instantly show 20V, but on working macbooks I'm used to it going to 5V for a second and then switching to 20V after. But in this case it's instant 20v no hesitation

    820-00850 Liquid damaged u7000 area. 5V 0amp USB

This thing is completely trolling me. One minute a port will show 20V, the next it will show 5V, the port next to it will start the emp meter and restart the amp meter. One minute PPbus is at 3.2 the next it's at 12.2V. The ports seem to be playing musical chairs now because it's swapping which...

CC1/2 all look good in diode mode. I'm really stuck on this. Feel like it's probably some really basic shit that I'm missing

    820-00850 Liquid damaged u7000 area. 5V 0amp USB

I just realised. The ports that are showing 5V are the ports that I did replace the CD32s on

    820-00850 Liquid damaged u7000 area. 5V 0amp USB

Because I did install two CD3215c006aa51pw chips and now im wondering if that's even correct and might be causing the issues. I also used Q3100 etc. from a different board and the chip is different. I swapped them back now and I'm now getting 20V on two ports and not just one. I'm guessing...

CD3215c006aa51pw is compatible with this board? this board has CD3215c00z98avfqwbh chips. Are these interchangeable?

Ok just checked, CPU coils are around 1.5 ohms so should be ok The one coil that stands out is 7260 which is a straight short to ground. Shall I inject and see what's up? RAM coil numbers look good. Which one is PCH?

820-3115 Green light, no fan spin

Well crap. Most of the big coils are 0.000V to ground. All the CPU coils it seems. So PCH is toast?

SMC_PM_G2_EN is pulsing yep made short over R7271 and L7220 is now stable. Board is drawing more power now, but no fan spin yet

    820-00850 Liquid damaged u7000 area. 5V 0amp USB

Voltages correct on all 4 chips. the 1v1 lines I guess depend on the USB port that's powered. So as long as I had it in the correct port, it was perfect

Yup. if 0.500 is correct then all 4 chips LDO lines are perfect

    820-00850 Liquid damaged u7000 area. 5V 0amp USB

No sign of life on DFU Looked at all LDO lines on all 4 chips. look good at 0.500 roughly on each line on each chip

actually I just realised PPBUS also pulses but not strong. Every few seconds it'll go down to 12.3 and then back to 12.56 so L7030 is actually pulsing and so is L3895
