After Removing D6950:
Pin 4 Diode Mode - .500
Pin 6 Diode Mode - .522
- Battery Still Not Detected
Given the similar readings should I reinstall the D6950?
& Should I begin to chase down the cause of .522?
Yes Sorry I am still relatively new to board repair -
Board is 820-2936-A

Pin 8 - 11.29V
Pin 9 - 11.29V
Battery Bus Resistance to Ground (Battery Not Connected)
Pin...
CHGR_BGATE to Q7055 12v insteadof 5v
Q7055 Output (Pin 5) 11.29V
Everything works on machine, just does not recognize or charge battery
Should I Replace U7000 or should I check other things first?
R7311/21 = 4.8V
C7311/21 = 4.8V
U7310 Pin 8 (Phase) is getting the same .46V as PPVCC_S0_CPU
These readings do not match my known good board. Is this a step in the right direction?
Power rails measure normal, am getting .46 V on PPVCC_S0_CPU
No visible corrosion but signs of water damage.
Not sure how to diagnose low voltage on this line, how should I proceed?
Thankyou!
Negative, I am still looking to order a proper ultrasonic for mac boards. Just have one for cell phone boards at the moment.
What is the go to model for ultrasonic cleaning on mac boards?
Hello, I have an A1466 that had water damage - cleaned it out and everythings good - comes on normally. After 30 - 45 seconds complete freezes and have to force shut down.
Tried recovery mode, alternate OS, etc all same so it points to hardware.
What would main causes of this be , so I know...
Hello everyone, I am somewhat new to board repair. I can diagnose and repair certain power / back light issues on macbooks, ipads, iphones etc. but am still learning how to use schematics and multi-meter to efficiently diagnose and repair less common problems.
I have this 820-3115 board here...
