Hi 2Informaticos and All....
board came zith serious WD; cleaned and repair all what I could what was visual before plugging the charger; then:
Ppbus_g3h : 8.19V
PP3V42_h3h: 3.423V
PPVRTC_G3H: 3.423V
PP5V_S5: 0V
Reheat the SMC then I saw sparks almost flames around the C3085 (thunderbolt)...
Ola 2Informaticos,
Unfortunately I've re-assambled the mba and working fine so far, now it's charging.
Do you thik that the 3V is marging? Because at least there is a voltage around 3V , if not it won't be able to boot ON.
Update:
I've forgotten to tell that I've reheated the SMC....whatever......
I wanted to pass the mother boad on the UC, so Iturned the UC ON and waited this one to warm up, I left the room for maybe 10 mins
Then When I came back the fan was spinning at full speed ( no trackpad ) the the board...
Got it, thanks
It make sense. so if I choose the 48V 10A model of Power Supply I will just have to adjust the voltage to 1.5V and the current to 10A ( Max current ) , in that case I will rise to 15W.
Maybe It's better to choose the 36V 15A model,as for the same voltage (1.5V ) I can rise up to...
i 2Informaticos,
Thanks for your reply.....
Those power labs will not turn to protection mode? Whats is (are? the difference(s) compared to the one I have (30V, 5A ) like in the attached picture?
Hi PCTRONICS,
I have the exact same issue.
We have to consider that que power supply "talks" to the mackbook:
It first send +5V to the macbook, and if this one is OK, it send then the +20V.
It's not that easy as before......
If you have any solution , please share
Hi Team, 2Informaticos
Finally I've found what was the "issue".
Maybe It is obvious for some of you guys but it was tricky to find; so I wanted to share.
In fact I've tried 2 different GOOD SSDs, not seen at the boot : folder with the ? mark, but if I boot on a installer from a regular usb...
What is strange, is that it's not booting with some good external hdd or usb stick with os installer on them.
The screen turns light Grey with Grey apple logo : what does that mean that color code ?
You may right it's maybe an partition format issue.
Hi Team,
This board came with a WD and not turning all at all, so I replaced many components ( I can provide the list if needed )
Now It doesn't boot on the OS from the ssd but boots from usb and once booted from usb it can see the ssd.
So the ssd is not detected in bios mode but detected in...
I did all that but now I've lost the S5 rails now.
I think that SMC is now good for the trash.......and I don't have anymore of that board.
I think I'll just re-assemble the mba to give it back to it's owner because of the tme passed on it I'm not profitable at all.
As usual thanks for your support.
H 2Informaticos,
Yes I know that thoses to voltages are not ok that's why I've put them in bold.
Yes I'm using either official 85W charger or Lab Power supply with 2 officials cords attached to it: magesafe1 and 2 and both in 85W.
I'm affraid that if I remove that smc again for reballing it...
Replaced SMC from the same exact board:
PP5V_S5: 5.049V
pp3V3_S5: 3.354V
PP5V_S4RS3: 0V
P5VS4RS3_EN: 0V
S4_PWR_EN: 0v
PM_SLP_S5_L: 0v
PM_BATLOW_L: 3.349V
SMC_PM_G2_EN: 2.34V
SMC_ADAPTER_EN: 0V
SMC_ONOFF_L: 3.429
SMC_BC_ACOK: 3.211V
The SMC_SYS_KBDLED pad is missing on the board but this...
I think i know why :
I've read in a post that someone put a wronfg SMC and had very low ppbus just like me.
I my case i've a 820-3787 SMC because I didn't have a 820-3476, I know tat it has to be the exact same board but justed tried in case of.......
Nothing to do except waiting to find a 3476...
