Just double checked, C6581/PPBUS_G3H and C3504_VWR:1/PPBUS_G3H have the same voltages.
The machine is not recognized in DFU mode.
I have attached pictures for to see the damage, we washed with deionized water and it is now clean.
Hello,
We have a A2251 MacBook Pro that has water damage across the board, when connected to a port the board uses 5.09v and .28a and after a few seconds switches to 20.6v and 0.05a.
We have a measured some voltages on the board:
C6581/PPBUS_G3H -> 12.63v
C3504_VWR:1/PPBUS_G3H -> 12.32v...
I understand that this line is missing and we need to find a source element which is generating this line. Basically we have to trace back to the source and understand why source of the link is not working. Is that correct approach? And also one more questions --> how to find the source of this...
When we removed the U5700 chip the amps went up to 0.08 and after placing it back the amps went back down to 0.00.
Is U5700 at fault here or is it some other component?
I have Removed U5700, it looks clean and no visible damage underneath it.
The behavior of the board has not changed and is still using 5.27v and 0a.
Should I return the chip?
R5700 is burnt and the board has a hole in it, I have attached a photo for you to look at.
We also bypassed R5710 with a tiny wire and have power there.
R5710 is disconnected from the board, is it possible to make a direct connection?
Would we be able to replace it with a similar element or would it have to be the exact match?
Hey guys,
We have a A2485 Mac book that uses 5.17v and 0a, we measured some voltages on the board and got this result.
U5500 -> U5501 .2
UF400 -> RX421 9
UG400 -> RG012 3.3-3.6
LF000 -> 8.8
LF100 -> 8.8
CF800 -> 0
CR805 -> 0
CR853 -> 0
What could be the problem and what should we do next?
Here are some of the voltages we checked on the board.
P3V3G3H_VSW/L7660 -> 3.36V
PPV5_GS3/L7600 -> 5.13V
PP1V8_SSD1/L9030 -> 1.79V
PP0V9_SSD1/L9020 -> .9V
PP2V5_SW2_TPS62180_SS/L9081 ->.022V
P0V9SLPDDR_SW1/L7817 -> .899V
P1V1SLPS2R_SW0/L7814 -> 1.1V
PVDDIOMEMGPU_PHASE/LA870 -> 0V...
We checked the ports and all of them have the same behavior, we switched the board to another donor A2141 MacBook and the ports are using 20.6v and .14a across all ports and is not charging the battery.
Hey guys,
We have a MacBook Pro model A2141 that had coffee spilled on it and did not boot up, it uses 20v and 0.12a. We inspected the board and found some corrosion and cleaned the board.
Would you guys have an idea of what the problem is and how to approach it?
I have attached a few photos...
