Checked all capacitors near the audio codes. Nothing suspicious. I am a newbie and would appreciate if you can give me part numbers to check on the 3V42_G3H power rail.

0.617 on PIN 1 and 0.033 on PIN 2.

Tried with 4v but same issue. Max current drawn was .44 amps. U4650 was mildly heating up. Removed it but shorting still persists.

Injected 3.42v but it’s drawing only .14 amps and nothing heating up. Am I going wrong somewhere?

L6995 short to ground. Removed L6995 and PIN 1 - 0.615 and PIN 2 - 0.005 (Short) in diode mode with red to ground.

Hi, Need help with a A820-2936-B board. Came with no charging issue. Working fine on battery. Changed U7000 and now no green light and no fan spin. 3.3v and 5v rails missing. Where do I start..

Computer has no liquid damage power light goes green then orange, no fan spin though. Found a short on PPVCC_SO_CPU. Meter in diode mode Resistance to ground is zero. Is it a short CPU or can i check for something else before I give up. Thanks

Replaced R5171 and U7701 and got the backlight. PRAM & SMC reset took care of the slow booting. Thank u.

What do i check for some help will be nice... But will have to wait till i get the new chip.

Removed U7701 and XW7720 is fine. D7701 pin 2 to U7701 A5 link is perfect. Anything else needs to be checked while U7701 is removed? Ordered a new LP8550 and should take a couple of days.

SMC_LID measured on R5171 Pin 1 - 0.65 mv. Missing...Changed the LIO board and flex cable. Swapped the board on a working machine and same issue. XW7720 check is pending as i will need to remove U7701. R7704 Pin 1 and 2 both show 0v. In the meantime, if this helps...

Another thing i noticed... With a flashlight at the back i can see the machine boot but it is extremely slow and keyboard and trackpad both not working. Power on off button is unresponsive and even with a battery connected it boots up without pressing the power key. Am i looking at SMC issue..
