Like i mentioned in my earlier post .... I just checked voltage on L7520 when i power on. it gives me 5.1v when fan spins and then drops again 5.1v fan spins and drops.

Appreciate you hand holding me thru this one... Did as instructed and PM_PWRBTN_L drops from 3.4v to 0v. Fan spins and stops.

Replaced Q7130 and I have 8.6v on F7140. Fan spins stops and spins again after a few seconds and stops. Any ideas what next.

Am I missing something here.... aren't the ram modules soldered on board. how do I change the ram modules.

Just removed Q7130 and shorting gone. Will replace and check and revert.

Applied 2v and it draws 5.2 amp current but nothing blows up or heats up. Checked on both sides of the board. Nothing..

Checked voltage at L8360 – 1.5v L8310 – 1.06v L8930 – 900 mv L8960 – 905 mv Q7870 output. – 3.3v

Just a quick observation. I was checking GPU voltages and found PPVCORE_S0_GFX_REG - 900mv on Pin 1 of C8961/63. I was wondering if this is the cause of the problem. Should I change U8900 and check? Just a thought before I post the voltages you asked for later today.

Yes. There is a short on L7130. No short on any other coil.
