PP5V_G3S not present
PP3V3_G3S not present
PP1V8_G3S not present
I'm sorry, what does that mean? "G3S" status not being present?
And yes I use 96W genuine.
I will see the customer if he's OK with erase.
A2141 came in taking 5v, 200-250 milliamps...
I've taken some measurements and found PP3V3G3H_RTC reading a little lower than expected in diode mode.. I looked in the the thermal camera and found U6960 (PP3V3G3H_RTC VR) to be heating up.. I replaced it.
Board still taking 5v 200-250 milliamps...
hello,
this board came in for liquid mainly on the trackpad connector / battery.. PPBUS was shorted to ground until I removed the trackpad connector on MLB and it was gone.. I noticed that the backlight IC had minor corrosions around it.. I ordered a bunch of ICs online and replaced it..
the...
This board came in taking 5V only.. It had prior liquid and prior board repair.. the work was done on UB300 area.. and PP3v3_G3H cap CB300 was removed completely.. I suspected the liquid damaged that cap and Mr. repair man just popped the cap and it worked.. for a while at least and now its...
One thing I've noticed before I return the original ROM data is that the ROM is still erased as it is.. the restore/install has not even reached the process or the segment where it writes on ROM.
Both ports behaving the same. 20V 0.0A
PPBUS = 12v
PP3v8_AON = 3.3v
PP3v3_S2 = 3.3v
PP3v3_S2_UPC =...
That's a remarkable observation on your behalf. It's taking 5v with 0 amp. I tried another charger and it switched to 20v whilst 0 amps.
I returned the original ROM data and its still taking 20v 0 amps (it went back booting to the apple.com/restore link)..
I don't know how I skipped this...
- SoC ROM erased
- Battery connected
- Power cable plugged prior to DFU cable (power cable was getting 5.2V stable no amp draw)
- MacBook was in DFU mode; restore process started
- Error 4010
I tried another round and still getting 4010.
Update: reprogrammed SoC ROM with clean BIN. After restore it gave me error 6 (while I think it lasted longer in "Installing..").. I restored another time and it gave me error 100.
(still refusing to enter boot select)
A2338 - Pristine condition.. I took out of the board and inspected it.. nothing.. as if the computer is barely used even.
Anyway, customer said they tried erasing/formatting it and it got stuck on Apple logo preventing to go further.. I asked them why they tried to erase it from the first...
I went ahead and took of a CD3217B12 from 01700 and swapped it with the bad U3100-T (CD3217B12) on 01949; both ports on the left side now cycles whilst at 5V..
Hello,
A 820-01949 came in with one port not working at all and all three giving 5V..
I marked the bad CD3217 and it was U3100_T.
I was able to verify it was bad by measuring PP5V_S4_XT_USBC; it was 0.045 (diode mode) shorted to ground.. where it should be 0.200+
My question is; I don't have...
