Not sure if this is helpful but has anyone noticed that the lower right heatsink binding post on this model logic board are frequently broken ie popped-off. I have a few that exhibit the random shutdown and broken post, wonder if its an indication of something not being right in that area during...
Getting this error with ASD OS 162 on Late 2013 13" Retina.
Same computer runs ASD EFI 162 without a hitch and passes all the tests including memory.
Anybody know the meaning of this?
Very clean board no apparent liquid damage, the trackpad does not move the cursor but it does register the clicks.
Tried a new pad and cable no change, there were some crumbs magically around the SMC so I reflowed and ultrasonic'ed, no change.
Not really sure what lines control the pad movement...
We are adding another rework station and currently have the AmScope SM-4TP with double boom stand, while it works well the stand takes up a lot of work space.
I was wondering if anyone has experience withe the articulating arms they make, such as...
Late 2013 15" Retina (DG)
The startup manager screen (from option being held down) is tinted a sort of pale pumpkin spice late color, after selecting the boot device the apple logo is white but the progress bar is tinted, once fully loaded everything returns to normal white balance.
Does this...
This particular model seems to suffer from a very high trackpad-cable failure rate which causes the trackpad and keyboard to lose connection.
Just curious if anyone has any insight as to why this happens? Seems so odd that they would fail suddenly since their just sort of inert in the case and...
Only visible corrosion on the board was the Jtag and a spot on C8319.
EFI ASD comes back with no errors
OS ASD Fails Sensor Test (Group #7)
I replaced C8319 and U8300 (since it was near the corrosion and seems sensor related) still fails, went ahead and removed the Jtag, no change.
where should...
Board was previously ultrasonic'ed, but half of the J9500 collar was lifted up, so I assume there may have been some corrosion there, I re-soldered the the four ground points (pins 51,31,15,49) so the J9500 seems whole again, no other pins look corroded or damage inside or out.
Unfortunately...
I guess those were the only associated components I found when looking at the schematics, I replaced the ISL6259, checked all the surrounding resistors and they're within range (the area looks clean). Still same crashing issues.
It's able to complete the Cinebench CPU test but crashes...
Had some corrosion localized at the battery connector (J6950) Q7560 and U1900, replaced U1900 associated corroded resistors etc and Q7560. Turns on but still not seeing battery.
