820-00850, stuck at 20V, 0A, not powering on

I followed the DFU mode exactly, about a dozen times, with two different cables on three different Macs, with and without power and with and without battery conected (POWER, L-OPTION, L-CONTROL, R-SHIFT, 8 seconds) . The host mac does see the device as a USB device, it just the target Mac...

Alll AWAKE, SLPS2R, and SSD voltages are good except for: PPVDDCPU_AWAKE is 0.933V instead of 1.06v PPBUS_G3H is 12.62V. Is this too low?

820-00850, stuck at 20V, 0A, not powering on

Hi there I have a A1989, 820-00850 board that is not powering on. When i plug in the charger it switches from 5V to 20V, 200-300millamps for about 4-5 seconds and then drops to 0 milliamps. It stays like this for about 10 seconds and then goes back up to 200-300 milliamps, 20V for a few seconds...

U7000 has been replaced again (NEW), as well as another set of CD3215's (NEW) as well as U6990 (NEW). 5.19V on the charger pulling 40 milliamps. PP3V3_G3H is 4.25V now. What would be causing this overvoltage? Where should I look next?

    820-4924 Short On PP3V3_S5

Thank you for the help. The DPS5020 on eBay looks like a great choice. This is a DC-DC power supply however. Can you recommend an AC-DC power supply that I can connect to this so I can use it?

    820-4924 Short On PP3V3_S5

Hi there. I have a board here that had a small amount of liquid around the keyboard backlight connector causing it to randomly shut off. I repaired the corrosion as well as some bad traces arounf this connector, then tested for any shorts. I then cleaned the board with my ultrasonic cleaner...

3.42 is always present. Board will turn on if I press power button with 60W magsafe connected, just not by itself. Board will boot in SMC bypass.

Replaced Q7080 and R7025,C7025. Resistance is 3.2ohms@ pins17/18, 20.1ohms @ pins 27/28. This appears to be normal. There is no change to boot (no power up @16.5v) powers up fine @19v. PPBUS+G3H is now normal @12.6v after these components have been replaced. PLT_RESET is still low (0.22v) and...

HI there. I have an intermittent issue with this board that I am able to replicate. Currently its pulling 130ma off the charger @18.5V. There was no liquid damage on this board. If I unplug and re-insert the magsafe (off the DC power supply set @19V) over and over, eventually this board will...

    820-00165 Won't run off battery

Hi there. I successfully repaired this board a few days ago after it failed to power on. There was excessive buildup of corrosion around the SMC as well as a few other components. I had to repair traces and replace multiple damaged capacitors and resistors using a donor board. What finally got...
