Okay, my mistake there ( used to most of the X555's having the remote daughterboard and a 120mm long 5way FPC, though I know the X555 prefix is used on a lot of their range ). Good luck then, not overly sure what to suggest.
Badcaps might be of reasonable help, especially if you can get a hold...
Thanks for the file - though I wasn't able to get it. My system really REALLY didn't like that 4shared site. Can you upload it here as a ZIP perhaps or a googledrive? If not, no problem.
I've had a few of these to fix, not faults like yours though, however, check the board that holds the power button on the underside of the top deck for corrosion as a first step. Beyond that, I'm not going to be much use here.
Searching this group hasn't shown any hits for one; hoping someone can provide a bios dump for me to test on a board here that fanspins, cpu gets warm, but no chime/dong or display.
An A1707 in today, more time spent trying to get that bottom panel off than what happened next.
Machine booted fine, battery detected, 0% and no lightning/charging going on according to the macOS.
Undid the connectors, flipped up the +/- tang, appeared clean, put it back together and now it's...
Yes, the way I'm planning on doing it, a shared folder containing all the jobs would work in an organisation.
I'm almost tempted to have a single-user version vs multiuser... but honestly, it's probably more work for me than it's worth given I'd have to manage yet more code
Depending on the system, they'd normally be stored in the user-data-dir (linux, macOS and Windows all have their own idea of what's best there). By -default- I'd just utilise that folder but I can give people the option to set it to another folder of choice, of which could be on a shared...
Been working on that a bit more today. Have to iron out the kinks as much as I can before I do the initial realise. Need to restructure the filesystem layout a bit. Easy to create the scaffolding of features quick enough, a lot more work to flesh it out and try making them robust...
New feature being worked on. The core is done, now it's a case of suitably expanding it and working out the best way to make it work on single and multiuser situations.

Haven't ended up going the "official installer" route, but now am bundling together the FlexBV & PDF viewer in to the one package and both the Windows and macOS version will now auto-detect the PDF viewer and set it up on the fly.
The machine is a no-fix ( significant areas of copper delamination and PCB burn-through ), so I'd like to see if at least the SSD is functional, however, it's one of those PCB card edge SSD module units.
Is there an external USB adaptor or converter available (or normal SATA interface) ?
The one ordered appears to have it, at least according to the "pictures".
Thanks for clarifying about it being just an EMI shield, because honestly, I was looking at it under the microscope trying to work out where the traces/LEDs were when I originally peeled it off, and I felt a bit stupid...
Yes, that wasn't me putting in that submission, would have been the owners before they sent it to me. $229 equates to about $309 AUD, I could have gone with that. A bit late now, order is already done and gone through with Ali.
I don't like dealing with equipment still covered with warranty...
