I have an 820-3536a that turns on now. but has an x through the battery and says "no battery detected" if i unplug the charger with the computer on, the screen goes black but the fan continues to spin until the battery is disconnected. In diode mode i get .316 on pin 1 of R5380 and R5381. R5380...

put the new bios chip on, still power cycling resistors to U6100 still seem good, anything else i can look for? or dead cpu?

so buying a pre programmed U6100 wont work? also how much can i expect to pay for a programmer

I dont have a programmer, would it be worth it for me to get a new U6100 chip or is that not going to be it, I havent found any problems with any of the resistors and they all seem to be connected

so its not apart of that system at all?

i was getting an infinite resistance from pin 1 to 2, so if i put a 33 ohm resistor there would that work?

okay that resistor is missing on my board not sure if i knocked it off messing with u6100 or what ill replace and see what happens

yes PPVCC_S0_CPU is pulsing

pp5v_s0 is pulsing

okay i replaced U1900 with a brand new chip and now L7520 seems to be pulsing: still no fan spin

theres nothing on the board there but its not labled no stuff on the schematic

R6131 gives me 89.7k ohms and is supposed to be 33

If U6100 died could that leave me with no pp5v_s4? Because i know U6100 was corroded a little when i first opened it up

any specific lines i should be looking for corrosion on? other than pp5v_s4?

so the boards probably toast then, there wasnt any corrosion around the smc but there was some close to the cpu, Im guessing its probably toast, there was no short to ground on L7560

how is pp5v_s4 created?

3.35v on c1300 and C1303, 3.39v on adapter_en; and 3.42v on dsw_pwrgd
