    820-00850 5V On Charger

All terminals are good, already inspected them... But this is the third or fourth UB300 I put on the board... Tried with new and donor ones... All behave the same

    820-00850 5V On Charger

I noticed something strange here. All ports, except for the UB300 port read the same on CC1/2 respective lines, which is around 1.6V on their respective RB. For example, on RB650 I get 1.6V and RB660 0V, when I reverse the cable, RB650 gets 0V and RB600 gets 1.6V. On RB640 and RB630 on the other...

    820-00850 5V On Charger

Replaced UB300 AGAIN from donor board. Still same thing... It's not possible I got 3 CD3215 with literally the SAME defect. The strangest thing is that UB300 corresponding port communicates with charger and requests 5V but if I reverse the cable it does not negotiate anything with charger. I...

    820-3115 SMC_PM_G2_EN 0V

There was a broken trace between R5010 and SMC. Ran a wire and now I get green light and 12.56V on PPBUS_G3H, but still no power. S4 rails are not activating.

    820-3115 SMC_PM_G2_EN 0V

    Hello. PP3V3_S5_SMC - 3.34V PP3V3_S5_SMC_VDDA - 3.34V SMC_WAKE_L - 3.34V PP1V2_S5_SMC_VDDC - 1.2V PP3V3_S5_AVREF_SMC - 3.3V Replaced Y5010 just in case as I don't have oscilloscope to measure its clock signal. Same thing.

    820-3115 SMC_PM_G2_EN 0V

Hello. Got this board here. PPBUS_G3H is 12.23V, which means SMC is not talking to ISL. Replaced ISL and SMC but still same results. SMC_PM_G2_EN is not present. SMC_RESET_L is steady 3.3V. PP3V42_G3H is steady 3.42V. I get no green light on charger eve though ADAPTER_SENSE is steady 3.42V...

    820-00850 5V On Charger

I gave some reflows to UB300 and now all ports behave the same. 250mA power consumption with 5V. I noticed something strange... PP1V8_UPC_TA_LDOA is giving me 3.3V instead of 1.8V

If tested on each respective fuse, all of them give 0.168 on diode mode. Machine enter DFU, but does not complete restore.

    820-00850 5V On Charger

Hello. Got this board here. UB300 was boiling hot, so I replaced it. When I removed the chip PAD number 4 was ripped off, so I ran a jumper wire through it. Some other pads have been ripped, they are 7 and 8, but no big deal, since pins 6 and 18 which are connected to them are integer and...

820-00165 No Power But S0 Rails Pulse

I decided to throw it into US Cleaner to see if there was any crap under big chips. Now after cleaning and drying it up the board is a little different. Now it seems it's power cycling. No fan spin nor quarter fan spin but CPU coils keep pulsing like if it's trying to turn on. PLT_RESET_L seems...

820-00165 No Power But S0 Rails Pulse

Hello. I get 2 pulses and then 0V on S0 coils. All SPI resistors read OK. Re-soldered U6101 just in case and removed J6100. When in SMC bypass I get quarter fan.

    820-00281 Has 20V No Power

Found shorted cap on C4207, cleared the short, board still would not power on and 20V line was crazy like hell, sometimes negotiating 20V sometimes 5V. Gave a nice reflow on all CD3215 and board worked again. Working for 3 days now without a single issue. Will test it for some more time before...

820-00165 No Power But S0 Rails Pulse

Hello. Got this board here initially with no power at all. PPBUS_G3H was stuck on 1.6V. After inspection I found corrosion around C2952 area. Cleaned everything and replaced all caps that looked bad and also U8000 that was shorted to GND. Now board gets steady 8.56V on PPBUS_G3H and tries to...
