I replaced both of these as they were in the hundreds of KOhms. Now 27/28 gives about 98Ohms, which is still too high I think.

    820-3476 - Not powering on. R7105 sizzling.

Pin 17/18 = 3.4Ohms Ping 27/28 = 153Ohms.... Should be around 20Ohms right? R7105 was out of spec (35Ohms). Replaced it, no change to behaviour.

I know F7140 and R7005 are on the same wire, that's why I mentioned it. Thought I was going crazy for a moment but I can now think the measurements are fluctuating. PPBus is sitting at around 5v.

    [SOLVED]820-3437 - No green light.

Customer said it just went dead; board is in pretty good condition although the DCIn board was dusty. Here's what I have so far; PPBUS 8.19 ACOK = 3.3 to 3.7 always moving. PP3v43_G3H = 3.4 SMC_RESET_L = 3.34 R7005 is going up and down 16.3v to 16.7v

    820-3476 - Not powering on. R7105 sizzling.

I'm not sure where I got the S5_PWRGD from, must have measured the wrong component. R8141::1 is a solid.3.3v but R8141:2 is cycling down to 0.3v and back again. C7500::2 measures 0.102 in diode mode which I think is low. PPBus @ R7005 is 16.48v and at F7140 is 4.8v I just noticed. F7014 in...

    820-3476 - Not powering on. R7105 sizzling.

Cup of black coffee went straight through the laptop. So originally I noticed that R7020 was incredibly hot. Beauty, short. C7102::1 had 0v to ground in diode mode, so I figured shorted U7100. Had a ton of these. Issue ended up being C5002 dead shorted to ground. I also had to replace Q1840...

    [SOLVED]820-3437 - No backlight.

I can tell the traces are corroded out just by looking. How do I run a jumper to PWM when it comes out of CPU?

    [SOLVED]820-3437 - No backlight.

BKL_PWM @ C7704 with no screen cycles from 0.340 - 1v - 1.4v and back again. Connect a screen and I get basically 0v. I removed C7704 because it looked yuck with no change. BKL_PWM should be around 3.4v right? If I jump C7704::1 to 3.4v I get a backlight; so I'm onto it, just need to resolve...

    [SOLVED]820-3437 - No backlight.

Take a look at how the top layer is bubbling. Is this worth repairing? Issue seems to be that BLK_PWM is at 0.460v and BLK_EN is also at 0.460v.

820-3115 - No orange light. Major liquid spill, chimes ok.

Suddenly getting an orange light now... Seems like it takes a while for the orange light to turn on. Around 30seconds maybe a minute.

820-3115 - No orange light. Major liquid spill, chimes ok.

So board has visible signs of liquid almost everywhere but not much corrosion. Most of the liquid was maybe around U7000. It turns on and gives me an green light, no orange and runs off the battery no problem. Can also turn on/off when just on battery. U7000::17/18 & 27/28 measure as expected...
