I also ran a wire from Q9701 (LCD_BKLT_EN) to R9704 LCD_BKLT_PWM and it turn on then, but that would stay at full brightness at all times. would this be a faulty U9600?

Problem solved, problem was board. fixed both of them, LCD displays were good.

Yes, i have a pile of 2015 previously repaired 2015 screens, so tested a few of them just for backlight :/

I am using a 85watt, and there is a battery plugged, but the battery may be bad, would the mac come on without the battery with the 85watt? I can only get it to start with the battery being plugged in, and currently do not have a second battery to test,

There was crap by u2600, also around SMC, both replaced, also a few other resistors around U2600 and around SMC, but still the same thinking about calling this one quits,
