Hi I was looking to get an iMac are there any serial issues with them? like the gpus on the 2011 15" pros etc What are easy fixes on them? Mightbe able to get one cheap on ebay Any input would highly be appreciated

Passes EFI ASD no prob. Same prob with OS ASD though stuck on loading apple

it should be 25-27v. BKL_PWM should be 3.3v you can try taking a jumper from pp3v3_s0 to the BKL_PWM that will set it on full brightness permanently

Originally water damaged and backlight pins on socket and cable we're burnt, So replaced lvds connector, cable and backlight fuse and all was ok. Tested for about 10mins and turned it off, then when I went to turn it back on no image. went to check pp3v3_s0sw_lcd and L8304 was blown to bits...

Its not detecting the screen. try known good lcd or the lvds connector

you should be able to see an image if you shine a light through. What voltage do you get on backlight?

Hand reballed a smc from donor board and after 6 tries it finally all works. Still waiting on stencils for proper reballing.
