Guys i been looking for a scope. Im stuck between rigol DS1102E vs DS1054Z? the cheaper one (ds1102e is 2 channel + 100mhz) and ds1054z is 4channel but 50mhz? im not sure which one would be better i need opinions/feedback? i have noticed even cheaper ones on eBay? are they any good?

hey all. i have waterdamage macbook air, everything looks good except no backlight upon closer inspection (near lvds connector) i found the probe point for ppvout_sw_lcdbklt_fb blown. Does this mean jumper from pin 5 u7701?

thats the weird part - ONLY on 8gb sticks. i have already replaced c9560. i would say gpu is braindead BUT on 4gb sticks NO issues? even after 4 runs in asd

Hey there, i removed Q3880 and U3890 however i got nothing on R0960 I now dont have green light. ppbus is present as well as pp3v42 i will test other voltages and report back. thanks for your help.

it does work but on ASD it fails and also i get scrambled graphics.

This one passes asd with 2x4gb 2x2gb memory config. 4 passes no problem however single 8gb or 2x8gb always fail? has this happened to anyone before?

thanks but after testing everything i found short where it blew. so its in the pcb layers, I scratched it back uv cured and short is gone. in this case is it best to still remove the parts you have mentioned? and im assuming u9410 will need to be replaced on the board too?

Is that because traces blown in the pcb? how much voltage to inject?

hey there, this board had a bit of corrosion after some cleanup was running fine. about a month later it unfortunately died, opened to inspect a hole in u9410. Now pp15v_t29 is completely short to ground, i have removed almost every component but short is still there? would it be safe to...

ok got booting again everything is good. replaced isl and resistors that were blown. good news is the u5110 has pp3v42_g3h coming in now and also its shooting out 3.3v from pin 8 i will wash and retest board in machine? is it normal that out side machine board only with charger only and NOTHING...

i change u7100 again same issue resistors burnt how to check q7130? just see if short?

i got 3.4v on ppbus now? I also notice R7122/R7121 is both dead and there is big hole in R7105 i replace and it burnt again!?
