No history. Some oxidation spots, which I've fixed and tested. Nothing line related.
Yes, I only tested the board.
With a short between 1 and 6, the PP5V stabilized.
Line PP5v_S5 and PP3v3_S5 floating 0 to 3v, I looked for a short on the secondary lines, I did not find it. I tried to change the U7200, without success. It didn't work with SMC bypass, it didn't work!
Stable PPBus at 12.6v.
SMC_PM_G2_EN is floating
Board is perfect, no oxidation or short.
It has 20v and draws 0.2a from the source (without battery). Trackpad has click. In DFU mode, I tried Revive and Restore, both complete without error and Configurator gets padlocked.
Audio card is perfect, but I tried to connect with it disconnected, it...
Monterey installation was to get the firmware updated again.
Tried with external SSD with El Capitan and High Sierra (Mac shuts down when loading system), Catalina (system starts and hangs on user), all with internal SSD disconnected.
Yes, I used BIOS clean ME.
The system works in safe mode...
Plate is perfect, I didn't find any oxidation.
I've tried it and without success.
- I put the board in another topcase. Discarding trackpad and cable, I/O board.
- replaced the SSD
- reinstalled system
- tried with external SSD
- I changed the BIOS
The strange thing, when I changed the BIOS, I...
the board no longer pulls 1.8a.
A similar Mac came in to change the battery, I took the opportunity to compare the coils in diode mode. Little difference, an example: the good board the L7211 appears 0.003, the bad board 0.007
I tested it without the J9600 and also tried it with another BIOS. Same problem.
I don't have a board of this model that is good for comparing coils. I compared it with annotations from a flexbv boardview and they look OK.
Sorry, I put 0.2a and it's 0.02a.
Yes, charger 87w and original.
It only showed fast 1.8a without the battery. With the battery it was always 0.02a
The board now no longer pulls to 1.8a. when I plug in the charger it shows 5v, 0.24a, in a second it changes to 20v and 0.02a
The logic board without oxidation. customer reported that it stopped working.
It has 20v, pulls up to 1.8a and drops to 0.2a. I've seen this with a shorted SSD line, but I looked for a short on the board and didn't find it.
CD3215 LDOs all normal.
PPBus 12.6v
