Board has very weird behavior.
It did not had green light initially. Changed the IO board. That fixed it.
After some days of sitting I could not get green light again so got out the board then I could have green light.
So I checked the flex cables and came to the conclusion that there is...
Checked schematic of a 820-3437 board and clock chip looked identical so put it on this one.
This time it turns on but no chime.
CPU vcore is peresent.
R7402 is fine. R2806 near clock chip was gone. Replaced that.
Clock chip was looking kind of okay, two pins were darker. I have no replacement from donor board so got it off and soldered it again.
U5410 was missing so put one on.
Nothing changed. Still repeated quarter fanspin.
Should I replace...
Liquid damaged board had been worked on already. Possibly SMC reball and other repairs.
Current state:
Green light, all hot and S5 rails present.
SMC_BC_ACOK is present.
R7005, R7021/22, R7051/52 are fine.
Board is looping with quarter fanspin.
Any idea where to look?
Changed R7005 and U7000.
R7021/22/51/52 are fine.
What changed: PP3V42_G3H is present this time. Still no green light, PPBUS or ACOK.
ISL also gets pretty hot.
Sorry I guess I did not understand correctly what to check the first time. Those two resistors were connected to pin 8. of u6100
Anyway I just checked all the rest of the SPI resistors. All of them are fine.
