    looks like the gpu is toast. PPVCORE_GPU shorted to ground (mostly, 0.63ohms). Pulled R9398 and R9399 and confirmed short is on GPU side. Going to pull all 30 caps to confirm issue isn't with one of the caps. don't know of any other way to confirm the short on the gpu without pulling the gpu.

    I Replaced the palmrest for an A1706 (palmrest came with a battery). The battery isn’t charging with a massage saying that I should change the battery. In system info it does stating that it has 18 cycle. Was wonder if the 87w charger for the A1707 works with the A1706 laptop? I’m about to...

    No Title I'll do the measurements during the weekend. Going out town. And yes, the GPU is still recognized in OSX, Believe this model is only has the intel Iris pro. Serial number is: C02Q74K6G8WM

    never works, even after waking the laptop from sleep. Only the display comes on after sleep.

    Same result. Even HDMI isn't working, and doesn't work even after i wake the laptop from sleep and the display starts to work.

    Thanks. Confirmed, the display (LP154WT2) is for the mid2015 which is what this laptop is.

    Original LCD. Also it was running normally before the transistor replacement, back when I could only power up with either charger or battery and not both. Looking around the transistor area (q7130/35), top and bottom of board.

    Well, power issue is resolved. Now got this weird issue where the display doesn't come on until its completely loaded the os, i close the screen to put it in sleep mode, then open the screen before the screen starts to work.

    Thanks again guys. Replaced both trans, as i had previously replaced U7100. Fixed and now running as expected.
