What happens if I flash an EFI chip with a serial number that's not the original? My issue is, I needed to replace the EFI chip, but the serial number on the chip didn't match whats on the bottom cover. The customer said he had the bottom cover replaced, hence the difference in serial number...
looks like the gpu is toast. PPVCORE_GPU shorted to ground (mostly, 0.63ohms). Pulled R9398 and R9399 and confirmed short is on GPU side. Going to pull all 30 caps to confirm issue isn't with one of the caps. don't know of any other way to confirm the short on the gpu without pulling the gpu.
I Replaced the palmrest for an A1706 (palmrest came with a battery). The battery isn’t charging with a massage saying that I should change the battery. In system info it does stating that it has 18 cycle.
Was wonder if the 87w charger for the A1707 works with the A1706 laptop? I’m about to...

Well, power issue is resolved. Now got this weird issue where the display doesn't come on until its completely loaded the os, i close the screen to put it in sleep mode, then open the screen before the screen starts to work.
