    i have faint image, USB works and i get chime Q7700 all pins less than .10v R5490 is blank and XW7720 is corroded but i think there is a problem before this (but i did run jumper and tested continuity to pin 5 of U7701)

    water damage in the area of J8300, connector had blown pins 3 and 4, replaced connector and components around it. still no power to Pin 3/4 i have 8.6V to pin 1 of F7700, C7712 is .0V

    If I pull the SMC off again and Diode Mode each pin and post here would that help?

    random ones pulled from dead boards i bought on AliExpress..already swapped it 3 times..but who knows..maybe all 3 were bad? does this issue sound like a faulty SMC? i've got about 10 macbook repairs under my belt so im not very familiar with symptoms...

    Oh no I read your posts about "new" SMCs charger light is only green PP3V3_S5 = .006v and I just bought a scope but i dont know how to use yet :(

    Both 3.42V and traces look fine...scratched the top of the trace right before it gets to SMC and is also 3.42 on both

    reballed SMC, same thing so replaced SMC and same thing PPBUS_G3H is still a little short and missing pp5v_s5, s4, s0

    resistance between pin 17/18 is 4.1ohms and between 27/28 is 20.6ohms and pins 10 and 11 have 3.42v
