No battery, just power supply:
Diode 470 both
Voltage mostly 2.6V then changes back to 1.8V and repeats both of them
With battery voltage is about the same behavior.
C7020 ohm AB 150k or end to end 4ohms
C7023 ohm AB 60k or end to end 4ohms
A/BMON 0V with battery connected, with and without charger
A/BMON 0V without battery connected, with charger connected
Ok after checking some more I found PP1V2_S3 to be low in diode read 0.050 vs 0.225 when I inject 1.2V on that line the RAM chips are the only ones getting some temperature.
Yes, tried 2 different batteries and 2 different screws, both tight and after connecting battery, flex and charger board boots, no charger I get around 11V on main so the battery is for sure well connected.
Also replaced U7000 but same result.
Tried but no luck, I even tried my force DFU method on a different board and that other board did enter DFU, but not this one.
Here is my method just in case:
Short the Force DFU test point (PMU_FORCE_DFU) to any 1.8V line
Connect restore cable to the correct port for T2 restore
Connect to...
Board had issues with U2890 and UB090 and was stuck in 20V, fixed that and now I get to 20V but no power and no detection in DFU.
SSD power is missing.
PMU seems to be working fine.
SLPS2R and Awake signals ok but PP1V2_AWAKE_SOC_PLLSOC_F is 0.7V not sure on that one, diode read OK.
Clean board, battery is recognized in OS, stays at 1% and OS said battery is not charging, runs from battery only.
Tried different known good battery and flex and same thing.
Tried different charger same thing.
SYS_DETECT_L 0V
SYS_DETECT 3.3V
Diode readings on J6951 are fine.
Board alone...
No shutdown on its own.
Right now the problem happens very randomly maybe 2-3 times per day if you shutdown and turn the mac back on several times per day.
Clean board already restored T2 and reinstalled OS.
The problem happens a few times per day, when the Mac is shutdown and powered back on the panic appears showing GPU panic Failed Power Play Resume as part of the string, other than this the Mac works fine per our testing.
Removing Q8150 same thing
Tied together pins 5 & 6 of U1950 same thing and no pulse either on L7310/20.
No pulse at L7310/20 before or after the above changes
