820-02890-a 20v present but no ppbus

    is voltage injection safe?

820-02890-a 20v present but no ppbus

12.4v on pin 1 on c5250. the 20v on the meter is now 5v since i removed f5200/1

820-02890-a 20v present but no ppbus

this board is look similiar to the a2485 logic board. It had a spill in the audio amp area (ur600, ur630 and ur660). the rest of it looks unbothered. f5200 and f5201 are reading 3v. pp3v8_aon is 0v. this is very unusual since 20v is showing the usbc port meter

    820-02100 stuck at 5v

u8100 is shorted. Can these be ordered in the states? I was hoping to get one quickly

    820-02100 stuck at 5v

i don't have another board to compare readings . pp1v8_s2 is 6 ohms to ground

    820-02100 stuck at 5v

3v8_aon_spmu was shorted to ground after a liquid spill and the rail was restored after removing a burned capacitor. The board booted up fine and everything worked until the next day when the display had no backlight. I probed around UP800 and must've shorted something else because now ppdcin...

    820-01598 thermal sensor issue

when jumpering soc_force_dfu, can i solder the jumper before applying power or only after applying power?

    820-01598 thermal sensor issue

i've replaced that u3900 chip with another one. now the amp meter shows 20v 0.000a with a charged battery

    820-01598 thermal sensor issue

do you know if u3900 has one or two layers of solder on this model? i'll attempt to reball it if there is just one

    820-01598 thermal sensor issue

those reading are without the trackpad cable connected. i2c_tpad_3v3_sda reads the same on a known working board. i2c_sense_scl seems to be culprit. I2c_sense_scl is 1.992 and i2c_sense_sda is 0.471 in diode mode to ground

    820-01598 thermal sensor issue

diode mode to ground on i2c_tpad_3v3_scl is 1.466 and i2c_tpad_3v3_sda is 0.958 . i remember you telling me that the readings on a data bus line should almost match.

a2159 820-01598 power rails rapidly cycling

i have another one of these boards but someone tore the board when removing the heatshield of the u3900 and u7800 and so now it get no s5 rails. PMU_ONOFF_L is 3.3v. where is 3v3_s5 created on this board?

a2159 820-01598 power rails rapidly cycling

yes both ports have the same behavior i've attached u7800 a few times to be sure

a2159 820-01598 power rails rapidly cycling

the coils surrounding u7800 have no steady value. they're 0v but they pulse every few seconds

a2159 820-01598 power rails rapidly cycling

i've changed it with a known good one and now pp3v3_gh_pmu_vddmain is a steady 3.3v but none of the coils have a voltage reading that is steady. i'm seeing pulsing on the coils. the resistance to ground on all of them seems reasonable

    820-01598 thermal sensor issue

the board does just like the older mac board used to do. The fan slowly ramps to full speed and it's laggy. Is there an smc bypass procedure for the newer models?

a2159 820-01598 power rails rapidly cycling

once i realized that 3v3_g3h had a direct path to L7810 i reballed it twice to make sure that it wasn't a solder issue
