this board is look similiar to the a2485 logic board. It had a spill in the audio amp area (ur600, ur630 and ur660). the rest of it looks unbothered. f5200 and f5201 are reading 3v. pp3v8_aon is 0v. this is very unusual since 20v is showing the usbc port meter
3v8_aon_spmu was shorted to ground after a liquid spill and the rail was restored after removing a burned capacitor. The board booted up fine and everything worked until the next day when the display had no backlight. I probed around UP800 and must've shorted something else because now ppdcin...
those reading are without the trackpad cable connected. i2c_tpad_3v3_sda reads the same on a known working board. i2c_sense_scl seems to be culprit. I2c_sense_scl is 1.992 and i2c_sense_sda is 0.471 in diode mode to ground
diode mode to ground on i2c_tpad_3v3_scl is 1.466 and i2c_tpad_3v3_sda is 0.958 . i remember you telling me that the readings on a data bus line should almost match.
i have another one of these boards but someone tore the board when removing the heatshield of the u3900 and u7800 and so now it get no s5 rails. PMU_ONOFF_L is 3.3v. where is 3v3_s5 created on this board?
i've changed it with a known good one and now pp3v3_gh_pmu_vddmain is a steady 3.3v but none of the coils have a voltage reading that is steady. i'm seeing pulsing on the coils. the resistance to ground on all of them seems reasonable
the board does just like the older mac board used to do. The fan slowly ramps to full speed and it's laggy. Is there an smc bypass procedure for the newer models?
