    820-01700 - Not Turning On - 5v - 0.380 amps

Hello, I have an A2141 - 820-01700 MacBook Pro that does not want to turn on. Motherboard is clean, free of any corrosion. Checking all ports I found one that was showing nothing on the amp meter when the other ports showed 5v - 0.380 amps. I replaced UB300 and now we see 5v 0.380 amps on all 4...

820-01700 - Type C Charging Works, Type C devices Work, USB A does not.

Hello, I have an interesting case here. MacBook Pro A2141 - 820-01700 where charging is working perfectly on all 4 ports but USB 2.0 / USB 3.0 devices are not working. I have a USB Flash Drive that have both USB A and Type C connectors, Type C would work, but USB A does not. Any tips on how to...

820-02016 - MacBook Air Not Charging - Changed Two Type C Chips

Oops sorry, yes I meant to say I removed UD200/201 and not RD200/201. I am guessing this one is going to be unrepairable. Super unfortunate considering the MacBook turns on and works fine with a charged battery. Is it possible that something else is causing the M1 to short this specific line...

820-02016 - MacBook Air Not Charging - Changed Two Type C Chips

I was able to attach a battery that had a charge and the MacBook would boot all the way and run off it, however the system does not detect it. It is showing an X in the battery symbol. I replaced RD200 / 201 another time with no change. I removed RD200/201 and made some measurements. All...

820-02016 - MacBook Air Not Charging - Changed Two Type C Chips

    Replaced both UD200 and UD201 and the voltages remain the same. Still not charging the battery. I also replaced U5200. UD200 I2C_SMC_PWR_1V8_SCL = 0v (0.480) I2C_SMC_PWR_1V8_SDA = 1.8v (0.490) I2C_SMC_PWR_SDA = 1.2v (0.300) I2C_SMC_PWR_SCL = 0v (0.004) UD201 I2C_SMC_PWR_3V3_SDA = 2.8v (0.480)...

820-02016 - MacBook Air Not Charging - Changed Two Type C Chips

I am not sure how I got 0.008 for I2C_SMC_PWR_3V3_SCL I was almost certain that was the measurements. I am now only seeing 0.850. All pull-up resistors for the data lines check out. I'll need to source out UD200/1 and hopefully it does the trick. RD200 actually has low resistance 1.6K Ohms, so...

820-00138 - Fan Spins, Green Light, No Sign Of Booting / No Display

Thank you, it fixed it. After trying to write to the original BIOS chip another time, the chip failed completely. Unable to read or write to it. Got another one from a donor, flashed it with known good dump online and it now works.

820-02016 - MacBook Air Not Charging - Changed Two Type C Chips

Hello, I have a MacBook Air that does not charge. Amp meter showed 5 volts for both ports, 0 amps. Changed both Type C chips and now we get 20 volts and 0.28-0.32 amps. It turns the computer on, but does not charge the battery. Tried new battery and it is still not charging. Any advice? Thanks!

820-00138 - Fan Spins, Green Light, No Sign Of Booting / No Display

Customer turned it off one day and it never booted again. I cleaned the ME region on the original. Pins 2 & 4 of U2080 = 3.3 volts. SMC_RESET_L = 3.3 volts. What I noticed is that high fan spin and as soon as I measure SMC_RESET_L, motherboard does a power cycle.

820-00138 - Fan Spins, Green Light, No Sign Of Booting / No Display

Hello, I have a MacBook that does not want to boot. - We get a green light on the charger, fan spin, but no chime or display. - External USB portable drive doesn't show any activity, seems brain dead. - No signs of liquid damage. - Tried clean ME region. PPBCC_S0_CPU_PH1 / 2 / 3 = 1.7 volts...

    820-00292 - A1419 Late 2015 iMac - No LED Lights

After some troubleshooting, I found a short on Q7610. Replaced it and also replaced U7600 and now I have 12V back. I didn't get PP3V3_S5_SSD which = 0.6 v. Injected voltage and found short on U3781. Removed and short on PP3V3_S5_SSD is gone. However, I have a short on PP3V3_S5. Injecting voltage...

    820-00292 - A1419 Late 2015 iMac - No LED Lights

I replaced the ISL62383C and it looks like LDO5 pin 18 is kind of back at 4.4 volts. VIN is no longer 12v but 4.4v. Am I just getting bad chips? I also just re-read your reply. If diode mode is good (high resistance), then the chip is bad? It was a low resistance (0.070 or so) and thought chip...

    820-00292 - A1419 Late 2015 iMac - No LED Lights

I replaced the ISL62383C and I get 3.8 volts on the enable pin, but no REG_P3V3_S5_OUT. VIN = 12 volt still. I am not sure what I am missing, could there be something else? Perhaps Q7610 has failed as well? According to the spec it should be a positive voltage and I see about 1V. Now I have an...

    820-00292 - A1419 Late 2015 iMac - No LED Lights

    I checked the voltages for Q8470. FET_EN_P12V_S5_R = 21.6 volts (pin 4) PP12V_S5 = 12.4 volts (pins 1, 2, 3) PP12V_G3H = 12.4 volts (pin 5) PP5V_S5 = 5 volts PP3V3_S5 = 0 volts? I am using 820-00134 schematic. U7600 - PM_PGOOD_FET_P12V_S5_SSD_K -> EN1 = 4.4 volts (for 3.3 volt S5 enable) -...

    820-00292 - A1419 Late 2015 iMac - No LED Lights

Hello, I have an iMac with a faulty motherboard it seems. None of the LED light indicators are on and I confirmed that 12V is being provided by the power supply. I also replaced the power supply to rule it out. Seems to be failing very early in the boot process and I am wondering how can I...

820-01041 - Not Booting into OS + Weird Issues Going On

Hello, I have a 820-01041 MacBook Pro that does not want to boot up. The customer had the battery changed at a different shop and then brought it to us. What it would do is load up the Apple logo and then restart and repeat. If I go into internet recovery to choose the Wi-Fi and input the...

    820-01814 - MacBook Pro - PPBUS_G3H power cycling

Hello, judging by the thermal cam, yes it sounds like you are right. The boot process is stuck around T2 / SSD. I will mark this one as unrepairable. Thank you. What are the normal values for L9080 approximately?
