yes that's what i meant
they both measure good i think. R8147 measures 0 ohms and r8144 measures 4.5 ohms. I assume it's good? I see schematic lists as 2.2 ohms each
all checks out ok but it came back with the 0.05 diode on 5v rail. SO i injected 5V. I can see U810 heating up clearly. Took it off, normal diode readings. Then i replaced with another "GAY" chip from a different model donor. (i'm literally trying to find the donor i got it off and can't find...
Yep it's 2.6 on l7670 steady
Diode is 0.37
interesting, i mistakenly replaced r7671 with a 10k resistor instead of 10 ohm. i replaced it back to the correct one (they are all correct now) and now it doesnt show any sign of life, no track pad click either. I can see that p5g3s is only 90 ohms...
This one had a little damage with r7679,r7678,r7677,r7671. replaced them all, can't see liquid damage anywhere else but it did have a short with C7676, replaced that too.
Now the trackpad clicks so I guess it's kinda turning on but no post
This one had no liquid damage, but was plugged in and powered by an external monitor before it fried. I replaced one of the CD32 chips as nothing was coming up on amp meter on that one port. then i got the 5V back on that port. Just in case replaced both of them in case one was causing the no...
My Lab PSU is currently waiting for a fuse since i blew it up so I can't right now :(
PPBUS diode to ground is 0.712
Pp3v42 diode is 0.3
DCIN_G3H is only 1.7V, that's too low right?
DCIN_G3H diode is 0.13
Hi there! i feel silly for posting this but i'm a little rusty it seems. This should be a fairly basic issue but here we are
No green light, no PP3v42, no short on PP3v42. I know Pp3v42 is required to enable green light, so the main DC in connection must be the issue? there was liquid damge...
SMC_reset is 3.371v but the last two digits will fluctuate constantly between 3.365 and 3.380 and SMC_onoff_l is 3.41v very steady.
SMC bypass works but thats because power cycling the machine works anyway
I can use SMC_onoff_l to turn it on but it'll still turn off and on (or at least...
no difference with the pads. I can tell it's bootlooping after being shut down until i completely get rid of power and put power back into it. So essentailly to get it to turn on again i would have to unplug DC and then unplug the battery and plug it all back in. then it will come back on...
