Green light is there but machine doesn´t start. PP3V3_S5 is OK / PP1V05_S5_MCP is not present (C7771 problem?)
Any ideas?
Oh man! I just checked it today. And yes, the RTC voltage is there...... I tried to power on the machine with power on pads but nothing
PM_SLP_S4_L still missing.
Hi Duke,
on this board i had no power ( no green light). A little bit of water was on the LIO board. On the LIO board i found a corroded contact point. After fixing that now i have a green light. The logic board itself looks absolutely fine. But machine is not powering on. My meassurements show...
Hello!
I´m working on the 820-2523 board. The problem is when you press the power button the Apple logo appears and after that i get this picture. Is this a cap like in 820-2850?
any ideas?
Thanks!
MDY
i didn´t check it anymore. I follow Duke´s advice. It´s better to not put my hands on this graphic chip and change it when chance is high to get a problem later on.
Therefore the customer will get this machine back.
One last general question....... What are you telling your customers when a board is not fixible or like in my case with this board. What advice can i give. To sell the machine as defect? :))
Hello Duke,
ok, now i tested with a known good display. No screen. Than i tested my display on the other machine. Working fine. Now it´s 100% sure that the Logic Board is faulty.
Any ideas?
Just an update...... When i plug the HDMI cable in i can see the extern LCD Monitor looks like the internal LCD. It´s just the same. You can see a black screen and it´s shining like the backlight from the internal LCD.
