Hello everyone,
I got this Mac and it is on the slow side. Internet diagnostic feature shows error codes PFM006 and PPN001. Board looks clean. I replaced I/O board, nothing changed.
Any ideas?
I changed ISL with new one, took Q7130 and Q7155 from Aliexpress doner board, and now I get an on/off green light flashing every other second. Fan is spinning. I took another pair of Q7130 and Q7155 from a known good board, same green light flashing.
So I took another MacBook apart and put this logic board in. Same thing, it does not charge a known good battery. Will change these three chips you are proposing and get back to you tomorrow.
unfortunately I have no other battery to test. I changed the MagSafe board and
PPBUS_G3H measured on R7005:

charger only: 15.39V
battery only: 10.92V
Hello,
I got this 820-3332 with green light OK, chime OK, no image. I know it has booted into the OS as I can hear the volume up/down adjustment sound. When I close the lid for some minutes and open it up again, I get an image and everything works fine! What do I check? The plastic cover on...
Battery looks good. I got it at 65% capacity. Load cycles are at 921. As I am doing the tests with the charger plugged in, it slowly discharges and is at 33% now. It boots off the battery just fine. I have no other known good battery to test, though...
Hello again,
an 820-3476 that does not charge the battery. There was corrosion on pins 22 23 24 of U7100. Also, a burnt trace from pin 23 to C7125. I removed the ISL, cleaned up the area, put a new ISL in, put a wire from pin 23 to C7125. It still sees but does not charge the battery...

do the trick? Since this SPI chip has the legs parallel to it, not bent 90 degrees, do I need a special adapter to connect?
Well, I'm pretty new at this and have no knowledge or tools to do this. I know it is off topic, but can you link to a site that will teach me that? Thank you.
I can't see anything. Disconnected display, plugged a monitor via thunderbolt. Booted from battery and ASD OS test hangs at the following point in verbose mode:

Booting from USB with El Capitan in verbose mode hangs at:

For some reason now it chimes every time I start it. So with external keyboard I did PRAM reset. I still get no image/backlight. How do I know that I get an image but no backlight, or if I get no image at all?
