Hi Guys I have an Air 13 inch with no backlight, liquid on U7701. After replacing the backlight is back but shows the grey shades in the right bottom. With iphone this is often caused by a bad coil but for Macs I dont know. The coil looks great, and, its never the coil right? Everything on the display connector side looks very nice, only liquid was under U7701.

Hollywood lights are going to either be the LED Returns to the connector or the LED Driver. Check your soldering on the driver

Do a diode mode check on the LCD connector on all the LED RETURN lines. One or more will be open circuit. Either bad trace/resistor or crap soldering on LP8550.

Its probably crap soldering on LP8550, usually use pre-balled chips but this one came from an old board as I (as well as Lewis) am out of stock. WIll try to resolder and see how that goes, thanks!
