820-00164-a Fan spins for a few seconds then nothing, sometimes boots

Hi there!

Have a MacBook Air 11 inch here that has the tiniest bit of water damage. didn't turn on. chucked it into the UC and it booted yay! But then it just tuned off. booted again and it was on even shorter. now it's just spinning the fan for a few seconds and won't boot at all. Problem is, since it's so inconsistent it's hard to pin point the issue. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I assume you documented where the corrosion was before cleaning. The usual suspects apply, U1900, U1950, around U6100 and crap under the SMC.

Yes, well thats the thing, it was so minimal. It was visible on one screw hole by the USB ports. and on the Diagnostic port which I removed.
I cant see any sign of liquid around those chips. Checked some of the power rails and they all look present. It's the SMC right? I'm screwed arent I haha

First put some flux and heat on SMC, not full on reflow just let the flux boil away any possible crap under it.
