Hi!

I have this A1398 with 820-3332-A board and Sandisk SSD.
Customer said that the macbook smelled funny and SSD was not recognised.
Under scope i found that:

Is it possible to do a data recovery/repair that SSD?

Thanks!

Probably! If you can find the component, just don't overheat the BGA chips near it. Lucky it's something like that and not the main memory chips...

I'm searching John, but i really can't find that component online...you have some ideas?
Yes, i'm sure i can remove it/resolder it without using hot air and putting heatspreaders in memory ic's...just to be sure!

I'd say get a used SSD to transfer the part from. I would make it data recovery pricing rather than fixing the SSD for long term use
