820-3437 SMC on 00165?

Hi.

I need an SMC for the 820-00165 but I don't have one.
I've looked at the pinout for the SMC from the 820-3437 and the 820-00165 and it looks to be all the same so I recon it should work but does anyone know for sure?

No idea, only 1 way to find out. It could create other issues with software and updates that look at SMC software version.

Heh...... It's running ASD. Machine thinks it's a 2013 (kinda cute). Boot ROM headers F* and fan is spinning on high so I will call that a fail and source an 820-00165 to swipe from.

Anyone know how this 2015 machine is running ASD 3S162 EFI?

It shouldn't unless the ROM was messed with, or ROM for 13" retina is the same as the air.
