820-3787 not charging

Hi all,

This board had a small liquid spill close to battery connector. - symptoms are that it can see the battery but displays replace now and will not charge.
Data lines are okay i assume as it can see the battery.
Battery is a KG OEM.

I've replaced the following:

ISL
All caps and resistors on CHGR_VCOMP line
Q7155 --> pin 5 is 2.2v? (pins 1-3 12.60, pin 4 12.56)
R7150 due to liquid along with C7145
C7155
C7156
C7157

Resistance on pins 17/18 of ISL are: 3.3 ohms (seems high?)
Resistance on pins 27/28 of ISL are: 21.2 ohms

Certainly confused now - any ideas?

UPDATE: Not sure if this is relevant but - Pin 5 of Q7155 without a battery is 12.6v and after a few seconds drops to 5v then back up to 12.6v.

with a battery it is solid 2.2v

okay weird - its can sometimes be 12.6v on pin 5 and then back to 2.2v

The machine even tells you what to do!

Duke correct as always! Love it, new battery works fine. Not that i'm surprised a new apple battery was DOA...

Thanks again!

Dream on about "new" batteries. These are all pulled garbage that are reset to 0 cycles and full charge capacity.
