Hi,
this had been an old topic, but we are out of 216-0810005(6750), and have few 216-0810001 left.(6770)
I had no issue sub-replace the 6750 with 6770 on all 1G VRAM boards.
but having problem with boards with 512m vram.
Im having two 820-2915 board with 512m sumsung VRAM. replaced the 6750 with 6770, computers boosts fine and log into OS.
but when we click system info the VRAM Size is like a 8-9 digital numbers: 214873492374m
yes something like that ,and apparently not recognizing the VRAM size.
and once run photo booth after like 30 seconds would display video issue, like square boxes. but would go away if I close the APP after a while.
so think can be the issue with the info inside the EFI bios IC. is there any way we can modify the info inside and make it to work?
( I know 6750+512m can be a working combination since one IMac machine is using the same thing.but for a1286, there is no default original as 6750+512m)
any advice would be appreciated.
thank you
