a1502 missing L7430 (PPDDR_S3_REG_R)

hello i got a a1502 that was touched by another shop. it shows green light on the magsafe but it doesn't turn on. After visual inspection, i saw that it was missing a inductor L7430 on the line ppddr_s3_reg_r. could this missing component cause a bigger problem (i.e frying cpu)? i tried to find a donor but i wasnt able to find one with similar specs.

It should show an orange light. L7430 was removed for a reason I guess. First thing to check would be a short to GND on either side.

Sorry I meant orange light. No short on either side. My diode mode reading on both pads is about 0.128

Should not have caused damage, put one back and go from there.

got the fan spinning and chime after replacing l7430 and isl6259. Now i need to figure the image problem. im waiting for a new lcd

What year is this? A1502 does not tell me much, need to use the correct LCD or it will not work!

it's 2015 model.the board number is 820-3476. im pretty thee lcd connector is no good. it looks like a piece dismissing on the left side. Is it possible to change the lcd connector without replacing the entire assembly?

820-3476 is the 2014 model not the 2015 model. And yes you can replace just the LCD cable very easily on Retinas just have to remove spine.

Make sure the connector on the board is not damaged or the cable will be gone again...
