Customer came in with an A2179 which stopped working out of the blue. It only had a short burst of fanspin every once in a while. Tried reviving with Apple Configurator, it passed and showed the activation lock on Apple Configurator but not on the failing macbook.

When measuring voltage of the CPU caps they measure 1V6, 1V8 or 0V. This cycles although not quickly, it takes a half minute to a minute. The CPU heatsink does get warm.
Im not sure if I have the right boardview/schematic couple since most things are referred to differently. The thing that worries me most is that CPU lines are getting 1V8, which should be max 1V1 from my experience. Could voltage be leaking through a mosfet/switch or is this normal for A2179 macbooks? Thank you
