bent charger port frame macbook pro

I have this 2011 MBP that was dropped on the charger port area so now it's bent and damaged on that area. The magsafe board needed to be replaced but I can not fit the new one into the port where it can charge properly.

Does anyone know a good way I can try to bend the aluminum frame so the magsafe can fit properly without badly damaging the frame?

Needle-nosed pliers, and wrap the frame in a t-shirt or cloth several times. Also, the casing on the 2011 pros is actually quite soft...you can bend it with just your hands (unlike the newer models or the Airs).

I tried your suggestion but I still am not able to get in that small area to bend it in place.
Is there anything else I can try to get it to bend easily like putting heat on the aluminum?

Is there a small tool I can use to file the aluminum?
