GPU swap from donor boards (no apple stuff)

lately (sadly) i'm busy fixing more laptop shit than apple products (you gotta emtpy that bin one day..) a couple of these boards, especially acer, need a new GPU, i have some donor boards with known working GPU (one has a blown charge circuit, one has a fucked bios, one has a blown power section) instead of waiting for china shipments, is it good to swap one of these GPUs on the boards that i have to fix? none of these laptops are intensively/professionaly used and i am undercharging for these shit anyways ( no direct customers, fixing other people's shit)

It is like putting almost worn tires on your car. The chips will fail after x number of heat cycles, a still working GPU is just a ticking time bomb. If you put in the effort to change a GPU you use a NEW one.
