I just have a stack of boards that I put aside. Once in a while I pick one out and start with a fresh mind. Not everything can be fixed

Save it for another day. Spending hours focusing on one board usually leaves me in a bad mood and missing something obvious. Cannot overstate the value of having a fresh start on something too. Take a few days, do some easy things, get your head cleared, and come back to it.

I usually space out the easier repair jobs with the harder stuff, it helps me feel like i am making progress.

Sometimes you have to give up and talk to a customer about a new logic board. Don't feel bad about it, it is what it is. Even w/ a refurb board you are probably saving them money over an apple store repair. Just be honest up front about the chances to repair it, and be honest when you fail. People appreciate it.
