is it possible in any way to fix an ssd? it is not water damaged, and the board is not water damaged too, ssd is not recognised at all, i booted with an ext. hdd , and an osx installer usb, ssd wont show up so i cant format it, but the macbook works fine with another SSD.
I dont see any corrosion or any damage on the SSD under the scope, is there any way that one of the small chips, like power controller is dead on it, and maybe ordering a dead donor SSD and replacing that part would fix it? The data is not important for the customer. I can order a second-hand on ebay for 150usd.

Never managed to fix one, they die the moment they even smell water. Underfill combined with no schematics is making is really hard to figure out what's wrong.

Pretty sure the moment schematics for this ever end up online the market is going to be flooded with refurbished/fixed SSDs :D

Not fixable unless it an obviously knocked off component. Many times if anything goes wrong the drive just dies and firmware is corrupted so it will never work again.
