Hello there, as I mentioned before I am kind of in a remote area and still building up my stock of parts for macbooks(not my specialty). I get frustrated when cant continiue work on a laptop because I dont have good batter at hand.
I got a banch of water damaged macs this month, and 2 boards waiting for new batteries 820-3476, and 820-000165 both give "battery needs to be replaced" warning. doesn't charge.
Are these batteries so sensitive to water? or they just need to be boosted manually to certain voltage as cellphone batteries require?
another one 820-000165 as well. I repaired board and gave it back. after 2 weeks got it back because "doesn't turn on", I unplugged battery. put it back in and it works right away. How to tell if it is the battery or something else. After battery replacement I didnt hear from customer yet (1 month passed).
My question is, how do fellow techs boost and test macbook batteries ?
