MBP mid-2014 (IG) random crashing

I know these can have the CPU buck converter problem, but the error trace suggests the SSD (aftermarket with adapter, running flawlessly the past 2 years).

panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff7f9d6c9231): nvme: "Fatal error occurred. CSTS=0xffffffff US[1]=0x0 US[0]=0x2e VID=0x1179 DID=0x115
. FW Revision=51045KLA\n"@/AppleInternal/BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/IONVMeFamily/IONVMeFamily-470.100.17/IONVMeController.cpp:5320

Buck IC's prime suspect?

FDMF6808 chips can generate strange issues on these boards.
You can find on Internet various sites to download a script to disable CPU sleep states.
This can "correct" the issue, but is not definitive solution.
However, it can help to diagnose the real problem.
I bet, some script is already posted on the forum, just search.

Other option, disconnect internal SSD and test with USB macOS.
