nvme ssd + adapter

would any nvme ssd work with a cheap adapter in a retina macbook? the originals are very expensive , even the OWC ssd is not too cheap, we can buy 500gb nvme Crucial ssd for 60eur.

now i can confirm it works fine with a 2015 macbook pro, , simply that 2eur adapter from aliexpress, and the a 60eur cheap nvme crucial ssd 500gb, works fine with 10.13, the only thing is that it had to be formatted with a usb enclosure in another macbook , than it was recognised in the target macbook, install worked without issues, fast

i guess that is the end of the OWC company, their ssd are still much more expensive than a generic nvme SSD
